On Saturday, November 29, Santa will make his grand return to Galeries de Hull!
Come meet him starting at 10 a.m. at level 1 to watch the parade and welcome him for the start of the holiday season. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will parade through the centre until 11 a.m., accompanied by festive characters.
Then, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the magic of the holidays will take over the shopping centre as various charming characters set the mood to delight young and old alike. Come meet the lovely Mrs. Claus and whisper your wish list in her ear. She'll share it with Santa, we promise!
Other North Pole characters will join her to circulate around the shopping centre. You will meet the fairy Taïga Mélèze, guardian of magic in the kingdom of elves. It was her pixie fingers that taught the elves how to make toys, and she is the guardian of North Pole craftsmanship. She will be joined by Rudolph, the famous red-nosed reindeer, a friendly gift character, and friendly elves.
Several holiday-themed stations will be set up throughout the shopping centre:
A choir will set the mood in the centre, because it wouldn't be the holiday season without classic Christmas carols, would it? Carolers will perform for 45 minutes and warm your hearts with the most beautiful Christmas carols.
Come see our caricaturist in facing the Doucet jewelry store, who will draw your digital portrait on a projected screen. You can leave with a printed copy of your own funny 4“x6” portrait!
Come see our makeup artist who will be installed in Santa’s kingdom to get a beautiful, colourful airbrushed design, and take part in the candle-making workshop facing Maison en gros.
Two creative workshops will be offered, each lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes and accommodating up to 20 participants. Reservations are required to attend.
